These songs are the companions to the workshop "Transitions: It's not just getting from point A to point B." However, sometimes getting from point a to point b requires a little attention grabbing diddy. I've separated the songs into their most useful places, but honestly you can use any of these songs where ever they fit into your program. If "We all Like to Dance and Sing" works for getting your 2 year olds out to the playground instead of settled down for story time, then by all means use it! Let me leave with this last bit of wisdom, music works to get children transitioned, and has for decades. It doesn't matter if you sing as well as Adele or if you sound like a croaking frog, what matters is that you sing. Children really don't care what your voice sounds like, they respond to your enthusiasm and your intent. So sing, teacher friends, SING!
